Using your phone
To answer a call: use the tick button to pick up the call on the headset (if any), pick up the handset, or press the Speaker button for hands-free operation.
To switch between two calls on line 1 and line 2: press either the L1 or L2 button to put one caller on hold and speak to the other. The active line is shown by a fast blinking light, the held one by a slow blink.
To make calls: enter the number using the keypad then pick up the handset to make a call; press the tick button to use the headset, or press the Speaker button to make a hands-free call.
To dial an IP address, hold the hash key down to enter a dot
To dial a SIP URL, press 1 then use the down-arrow on the menu navigation key to toggle between lower-case, capital letters and numbers, as indicated in the bottom right of the display. Use the left-arrow key to backspace and correct mistakes. Use the 1 key twice to get the @ character
To make attended transfers: put the caller on hold by pressing L1/L2 as appropriate. Dial the destination number as usual and speak to the recipient. Then press the Transfer and tick buttons to put the caller through and hang up your connection.
To make conference (three-way) calls: this requires changing the setup in the web configuration. If conference calls are important to you, it may be worth buying a higher-end Snom model which has dedicated conference buttons to join calls.
To pick up voicemails: dial *1 and enter the voicemail password when prompted (which you will find in the extension details in your VoIP control panel).
Setting up a headset: if you have a headset connected to your phone, you can set this to be the default audio device, simply press the Headset key on the phones keypad
Adding extra accounts: You can add up to four accounts on your device. Simply follow the same procedure as outlined in configuring the phone to do this. For example, you might want to add an extra account in identity two. You can use different ringtones for different identities if you wish, which will help you tell which account is being called.
To switch between accounts, simply use the left or right silver arrow keys.
