Option 1: Unattended Transfer (where you pass the caller without introducing them to the person you are passing them to):
Example: Call active on Line 1, press the XFER button, type the phone number you wish to transfer the caller too, and click XFER again.
Option 2: Attended Transfer (where you pass the caller across after introducing them to the person you are passing them to):
Example: Call active on Line 1, press the XFER button, click Line 2, type the phone number you wish to transfer the caller too and dial, once answered and introduced, press XFER button and then click Line 1.
