We recommend the Ninja softphone for integrating with Outlook (either personal or with Exchange). You need the Ninja Private or Ninja Pro version (with TAPI functionality) in order to get dial out and screen popping from Outlook.
If you want to integrate Outlook with a hardphone, such as the Grandstream GXP2000, for free you can download a TAPI driver from
http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php?topic=69997.0 which will give you dial-out from Outlook. If you want screen popping for incoming calls we believe there is a commercial version of this TAPI driver available, however, we have not yet bought or tested this.
